  • Plain black tailored trousers
  • A plain black V neck jumper  (optional)
  • A Stratford school blazer
  • A Stratford school tie with House colour stripe (Hawking – blue. Noether – green.Crick – orange.Curie – yellow. Berners-Lee – grey. Euler – red.)

So that we are able to see who’s who, pupils must not have their coat hoods up.  When it is cold or wet pupils can, if they want, wear a plain black knitted hat in the playground.

From time to time pupils decide to wear items of clothing or accessories that are not in the spirit of our uniform rules but that we haven’t ‘banned’.

It‘s not practical to produce a list of banned items of clothing and accessories – and anyway teenagers will always think of something we haven’t thought of – but at the same time we can’t have a situation where if we don’t say to our pupils  you can’t wear this they can.

So our approach is this: if we think pupils are wearing something that is not in the spirit of the uniform we will ask them to not to and will expect them to go along with this.
