Remote Access, Email, Microsoft Teams: School Library
In the event we must close Stratford School Academy because of an extreme weather event, or we cannot run school normally (e.g. due to a pandemic or facility break-down), the school aims to ensure that your child misses as little learning as possible. In this event, the school closure would be communicated to parents as early as possible via the usual channels, and work will be set on Microsoft Teams for students.
Remote education should not be viewed as an equal alternative to attendance in school. For this reason, we are expected as a school to consider it only as a last resort when the alternative would be no education, and only after it has been established that the student is, or will be, absent from school. In such cases, remote education can have the benefit of allowing absent students to keep on track with their education and stay connected to their teachers and peers.
Our departments regularly share feedback, homework, classwork and revision resources with students via email and Microsoft Teams. Students are also able to browse and reserve the literature available at the school libraries via Oliver. We encourage all students to access these resources from home to enhance their learning.
