GCSE Results Day August 20th 2020: This year’s GCSE results day will be on Thursday 20th August and will be held at the Upton Lane site.
If any pupil has coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms, or lives with somebody who does, they must not attend school to collect their results – they will be posted home.
- Pupils in Euler, Berners-Lee and Curie House can collect their results between 9:00am and 10:00am.
- Pupils in Crick, Noether and Hawking House can collect their results between 10:00am and 11:00am.
- Pupils in Year 10 can collect their results between 11:00am and 12:00noon.
Pupils will enter through reception and leave via the main school gates. Once results have been collected pupils must avoid gathering outside school in large groups and go straight home.
Year 11 pupils must ensure they have returned their textbooks or they will be expected to go home to get their textbooks in order to receive their results.
September 2020: We will be releasing guidance to parents regularly throughout the summer holidays. Please click here to go to our September Guidance Page.
We are running a phased-return over the first two weeks to build us back to full capacity whilst making sure all pupils are supported and welcomed into an environment that is safe for all. We have planned an induction programme which each year group will receive on their first day which focuses on explaining the new routines and enhanced expectations alongside reflecting on the past few months and looking forward to the new school year.
Free School Meals: By Friday 17th July, all families with pupils entitled to Free School Meals will have received an eCode. These codes are loaded with a balance of £90 to last for the 6 weeks of the summer holidays. The codes are not active until 22nd July 2020. Following this date, families can log on and transfer the eCode to an eGift card for the supermarket of their choice. If attempted before 22nd July it will not work. Please use the ‘contact us’ section of the website should you require further help or support.
Microsoft Teams: If parents would like to know more about ‘Teams’ they should go to our website, select ‘Parents’ from the menu and then select ‘Microsoft Teams Information’.
Y7, 8 & 9 Summer projects: Your teachers have planned some activities for you to complete over the Summer holidays. These projects and activities can be accessed via your Microsoft Teams classes for all of your subjects. These activities will help you build resilience, think creatively and prepare you for your return to school in September. We therefore expect you to complete as many of these activities as possible. We can’t wait to hear how you got on with these activities when we see you in September.
Safety: If anybody needs to contact the school for safety reasons or information on keeping safe, please do so through the advised means.
