Supporting your child with Homework
We received almost 400 responses from the parent homework survey in Oct 2021. Thank you for the feedback provided, this has been an integral part of establishing an improved approach to homework.

Homework timetables
Use the SSA Homework Timetable to see what homework your child should be completing each day. Your child’s homework timetable detail when they should be completing homework, not when it is due in or set.
Please encourage your child to use this and complete between 1.5-2 hours of homework daily.
Recording homework
All students are expected to get their planner out at the beginning of each lesson and record all homework in their planners.
It is important that you check and sign your child’s planner each week.
Parent information and communication
Homework set in each subjects can be accessed via our subject pages.
This information is updated termly and outlines the expectations and success criteria of homework in each subject.
Homework club
Homework club is open for all students during tem time and runs from 3pm-4:15pm in the library each day. Students are also be able to access a computer to complete any online homework during club time.
